Invitation and Offer

As fellow LGBTQ advocates and allies, we would like to extend an invitation to you to be a Queer Café Partner and help support a worthwhile project. We are offering to post an advertisement on behalf of your organization in exchange for your sponsorship. If you are interested in this offer, let us know and we will gladly place your digital ad on our website. We are asking you join us as partners in a common cause and requesting your support in underwriting our administrative costs.

Established in 2017, the Queer Café website is an informational and educational resource. It is a non-profit community service project that seeks to raise awareness about LGBTQ issues. The quality and relevance of the content is a priority for us. That includes, not just the material we produce, but the many external sources we post in conjunction with our articles and stories.

So, we are very selective about what sources we quote, what organizations we reference, and what links we post. To maintain our integrity, we are careful about accepting paid advertisements or making endorsements. Rather than the traditional method of open-market advertisement, we prefer instead to seek sponsorships from trusted and respected organizations who share our vision.

Ad Placement

In return for your sponsorship, we offer you digital ad space on our website that will provide good visibility and exposure for your brand in an uncluttered on-line environment. Your ad will be prominently placed at the top of the page in the upper right corner. Page selection is based on subject matter proximity and your choice from 100 topical pages.

Place Your Order

We take a personal interest in ensuring the proper placement of your ad. Because of our selective (and admittedly low-tech) approach to offering digital ad space, our partners’ ads are displayed in a simple graphic environment that is free of clutter and pop-ups. To ensure your optimum benefit from this arrangement, we will post your ad in a prominent space and on a page that contains subject matter related to your organization.

All of our topical pages are available for ad placement. However, we do not place ads on the home page, administrative pages, directory pages, seasonal pages, and resource pages.

Audience and Reach

This is your opportunity to advertise your brand on a platform that shares your values. Our website attracts a broad audience within a defined community. The visitors to our website come from every state and abroad. Their demographics represent men and women (and non-binary folks), queer and straight, old and young. They are teachers and students, parents and children. They are advocates and allies. And they are active in the LGBTQ community.

Our website is connected to social media, where we enjoy regular interaction with the diverse members of our audience. On Facebook, the Queer Café page boasts 1.1k likes and 1.4k followers.

Our website and social media are curated platforms that are managed and updated daily. We are an active and efficiently-run organization. We would be grateful for the support from our community partners to help cover our operating expenses.

Place Your Order

We are not a commercial enterprise. We do not generate any revenue. Similar to Wikipedia, we value being a serious resource without monetizing our content. But, similar to NPR, we recognize a mutually beneficial value in seeking sponsorships from our partners in the field.

Because we are not a large operation, the low price we are charging is ample to cover our expenses. Our goal is to find one sponsor for each page.

We invite you to visit our website to review our content and get a feel for our platform. Inspect our quality. Review the digital ads on the site. Read our policy statement. Learn about the issues that inspire us to do what we do for the LGBTQ community.

Specifications

We hope that you will find value in our offer. The cost of digital ad space on our website is $300 for one year. That is equal to $25 per month. Payment is submitted by Venmo. Our account is @QueerCafe. Upon confirmation of payment, Queer Café will place your ad on the appropriate page on the top right corner. The ad is a standard square 250 x 250 pixel graphic. You may submit your graphics in jpg or png format. Or we can quickly and easily create your ad for you at no charge. Your organization’s website address or social media handle will also be hyperlinked on the ad.

Click on the "Place Your Order" link to access our email and to let us know you are interested in being a sponsor. Indicate your preference for the page you would like your ad to be placed on and any related instructions. You can attach any graphics files to your email message.
